![]() If you have a navigation sd card and your expired free updates have been reset :ġ) Uninstall Mazda Toolbox. So, the mail I received with the zip file titled `Mazda navigation” had the following instructions: You are now just wasting your time and ours.” We know perfectly well what we do and how, and we did everything right for your car. No need to open text files and read what you don't need. Your order is completed correctly, follow the instructions and run as written in the instructions. You can change all text there.” And they also kindly let me know that “I don't think you can hear me. They did tell me I should ignore the file that shows its a Mazda card as “ Did get into a bit of an email battle that surprised me as they sent me the Mazda Europe 2023 Mazda Connect BJM766EZ1W card and not the one I ordered - the fiat spider card Europe 2023 Fiat 124 Spider NA4N66EZ1A I did purchase these 32g cards and have now had a reply from Home with the zip file. The be SD card reader is designed by Mazda to pick up faulty cards more readily, so the issue existed previously, you just weren't as aware of it.Ĭhanging hardware will not fix the issue you are facing and as Navigation loads at all, it shows the hardware is not faulty.” Part of the CarPlay update is a replacement SD card reader and USB hub. In any case, I did try to copy the card and try a different one…. I'm not too far away from you, and could help to troubleshoot the problem of you fancy getting in touch via messaging?Ĭlick to expand. Thanks for your reply! I too was thinking the the sd card reader may be faulty and the installer 124 Spider UK - Home believes as it’s giving an error - it’s the card……. But I've never has a problem with the Navigaton not working since. I did the installation myself on my Fiat Spider and note that for Android Auto, I still have a Mazda icon but with a Fiat start-up screen (and very occasionally see the beginning of a Mazda start-up screen). Did you buy the car new and buy the "original" SD card yourself from eBay/Amazon, or did you buy the car used, with SD card supplied but of unknown provenance?Īs far as I can tell, the install of the new v70 firmware with required ID7 patch and Abarth customisation has worked since you have the Abarth icon. I wonder if perhaps it is the SD card reader itself that is faulty, even though it is new? The SD card is only used for the navigation, and the suggestion from to make a clone copy onto a fresh new SD card should help to prove that one way or another. ![]() so im not sure exactly what you're doing wrong.Hi I have read your other posts and have seen the below screenshot showing Apple CarPlay which also shows "Invalid SD card". i just searched on ebay.ca for BHP1 66 EZ1B(none came up at all) and BHP1 66 EZ1A (one came up and it says navteq). makes sense that mazda would try and make one card work in all cars.Īlso. the reason some say 2014/2015 is because the mazda connect was released in the 2014 mazda 3 and this card will work in all mazdas that have the mazda connect from what i have read. numbers and letters go up as revisions are done. the A, B and C will still work but there is some revisions. Thanks a lot for your help !!!Have you even ready any of the replies in this thread at all? any help would be greatly appreciated !!! I also hear theres a new BHP1 66 EZ1C for 2014/2015. Have you bought one? are you in the toronto area? will this work or do i need the BHP1 66 EZ1a card for canadian mazda 3? Everyone on Ebay says that the BHP1 66 EZ1A card is for 2014/2015 mazda 3. The BHP1 66 EZ1B code on the eBay cards say TOM TOM, and are for US/CANA/Puerto Rico. I'm sure they put some thought into that price.ĭo I agree with manufacturers' pricing strategy? Hardly. Lowering the price of the SD card would make it incredibly more appealing to those who would pirate the software, or use cheaper, superior nav services like google maps on their phone.I understand your point completely, but those components and software do not add up to $1500-$2000 either, when you can buy a TomTom device for $129 which includes GPS hardware, software, profit margin for the maker, and profit margin for the store.Ĭar makers are in the business of making money, simple as that, and most of the money is made on extra options, not on the base price of the car.Īnd whether Mazda would make more profit selling 50,000 SD cards at $200 or 25,000 at $450 is up to them to calculate. ![]() It's not like if you dont get the nav package then they take the in dash system out of the car. I said that Mazda would likely sell significantly more SD cards if the price was more competitive with the other products out there. I also dont think you read my responses clearly. The $1500 - $2000 the other companies charge is for the entire system to be installed, not for an SD card that holds the maps.
